This plant moves depending on exposure to direct sunlight, warmth, or vibrations. Its leaflets have a hinge connected at the base of this unique pet. This allows it to move and rotate along an oval path.

Once night comes, the plant leaves droop until it rises by morning.

2. Sensitive Plant

Sensitive plants (Mimosa Pudica) look like starry pink blossoms with fern-like leaves. These are shy plants that close once you reach out or blow on them. Once you disturb it, the stems start releasing chemicals.

The chemicals force water out of the cells making the leaves appear collapsed. Scientists believe that this trait functions to scare off predators. You can even use this plant for medicinal purposes and use it for indigestion, diabetes, etc.

3. Tillandsias

Tillandsias or air plants are the best for low-maintenance gardening. These plants don’t need substrate or soil to grow. You can place these unique pets on a string and hang them from your ceiling.

They come in a variety of shapes and forms, which makes it versatile for home decor. All you need to do is place them in areas with partial sun, then dunk them in water for 15 minutes every month.

4. Flypaper Plant

The flypaper plant (Pinguicula Gigantea) will grab hold of anything that lands on them. These exotic plants have an upper surface covered with sticky digestive enzymes. Once something lands on its leaves, it starts digesting them.

You can keep these unique pets if your area has plenty of mosquitos, flies, and gnats. It’s also great to keep around if you have pollen allergies. They can absorb any nutrients from pollen and traps any small insects and bugs.

5. Coralline Algae

What are coralline algae for? Coralline algae are desirable algae for saltwater aquariums. They show that the reefs or your fish tank have right, matured marine life.

The coralline algae prevent and combats against other algae. It prevents reefs from dislodging during routine maintenance or unexpected aquarium accidents.

You don’t need to take care of them since they require limited resources. All you need is a rock, water, some oxygen, and a little shine from the sun.
