I am a really lucky mom, in the sense that I get to enjoy these amazing opportunities as a blogger, opportunities that end up becoming traditions for our little family – like Disney on Ice. Every year my family and I gets to enjoy an incredible Disney on Ice show and every year we say it is the best year yet and every year they out do themselves. This year was no different: Mickey’s Search Party has a great story to it and a super interactive show in store for all their little fans.
What do you mean interactive?!
Well, if they aren’t trying to get the kids up and dancing they are bouncing balls through the audience, getting the wave started and even pulling surprise helpers from the audience! This show really had it all and from all the ones I have been too this one had the most chances to get up close and personal with a lot of the characters. If your kid wasn’t getting pulled up to help they might get a chance to give a cast member a high five or even have them perform next to them as some do pop up within the audience.
It was an exciting show and I loved how they tried to create a little personal magic for as many kids as possible each and every show. Being able to bring that Disney magic to Vancouver is such a special experience for so many and I have loved it ever since I was a kid. Of course that isn’t the only reason that this particular show was spectacular. This time around they had insane stunts that totally knocked our families socks off.
Aerial silks that astounded us with not just one character, not just two characters, not just three characters but upwards to six characters as a group up in the air! It was truly a sight to see. Add in people on stilts, trampolines with people doing back flips and you are in total shock. BUT that isn’t all that happens, there is sooooo much more to see at this incredible show. No matter how old you are you will be amazed at the sheer awesome of everything that is going on.
THEN there is the music there are a few great remixes of the classic songs that I totally fell in love with; particularly their rendition of “kiss the girl”. It is truly a beautiful version of the song and dare I say that I may just like it better than the original.
So if you have the chance to get out and see this amazing show – definitely do so!
