Another great holiday event that we have been missing since COVID is Scuba Claus at the Vancouver Aquarium. Nothing says Christmas like a visit to see Scuba Claus, experience the Polar Express like never before and see all the animals. After all we need to wish them all a happy holidays and there are so many amazing creatures to greet!
Since my boys were little we have loved going to see Scuba Claus, of course with one teenager in the house now these moments are just for my and my youngest now. British Columbia Mom was kind enough to invite us along with her so that our kiddos could enjoy a little Christmas fun at one of the best places in Stanley Park.
From now until January 3rd you will be able to catch Scuba Claus doing his routine dive daily at 11am and 2pm. Making it easy to plan your visit accordingly. Of course there is so much to see and do that you will want to make a solid plan on how to spend your day and time.
They also have the 4D Polar Express experience that you will not want to miss. This one is by far my favorite part, the amazing smell of hot chocolate, the crazy big hill they go down and all the warm and fuzzies that Tom Hanks provides. Nothing beats seeing it and your little ones will love it, of course you can always easily exit if it gets to be too much.
If you are looking for some amazing photos with your little ones the Vancouver Aquarium definitely doesn’t disappoint this year. Their Holiday Splash jellyfish snow globe is an amazing spot to get an incredible holiday photo. Something unique to send to the family this year that will honestly create a splash.
If you manage to get your tickets at the right time of year you might just catch something super special; guests will be welcomed by live holiday music by Vancouver musician Kevin Zakresky from December 1 to 12. The festive music will be presented Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm as well as Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 pm.
Once you are finished saying happy holidays to the 65,000 different amazing animals you will want to browse their epic gift shop. The gift shop features local artists, including Indigenous artists and locally made products that are perfect for your holiday shopping. When visitors purchase a 9” or 11” walrus stuffie from the Aquarium gift shop at 50% off regular price, they will be donated to local charities.
Make sure to book your ticket and time slot in advance to avoid disappointment. All those of age will need to have proof of vaccination and masks are mandatory during your visit.
