Photo stops are all over the market this year with light tunnels, the love lock area and the walk through Christmas tree. This is the perfect spot to get those holiday photos you wanted so dress in your cutest jackets, hats and mittens! Not to mention photos with Santa will also be happening.

There is also a market wide scavenger hunt to keep them entertained while lines are happening, or mom and dad need to take a moment to grab a hot cup of Gluwhein. They have pulled out all the stops to make sure all of us have a wonderful holiday experience both young and old.

Our favorite nibbles of this years Market

Nibbles are always amazing at the market and this year is no exception. Not only do they have all our favorites they’ve also added a few new ones that you will adore.

Deep Fried Squid is a stop at the market you are definitely going to want to check out. This family endeavor has worked tirelessly to create this delicious bit of heaven. They really have made the perfect fusion of Taiwan street food and Canadian tastes!

Das Langos Haus is a wonderful snack to enjoy while at the market. You can enjoy this amazing deep friend flatbread with either savoury or sweet toppings making it perfect if you are in need of a quick one stop spot for something to eat. I loved it with garlic spread, cheese, bacon bits and sour cream. Total comfort food that you have to add to your must eat list.

Continental Brat Haus is a definite MUST if you are headed to the market. There is no way you can leave without getting a traditional Brat from one of these amazing Meisters. Supporting these guys you are supporting local farmers and a workforce of 30 locals here in B.C.. Truly there is no better Brat in the city that one of these guys topping with hot sauerkraut and mustard!

Haxen Haus is exactly what you think it is amazing rotisserie ham hocks that you can’t resist biting into. These beauties aren’t just delicious but also fun to watch cook as they so a bunch at a time. These hocks will give you those warm and cozies this winter thats for sure!

Two Sweet Elves is perfect if you are on the hunt for something sweet and sensational. These waffles truly hit the spot being fresh and covered in an array of toppings that you will absolutely love.

Our favorite gift stops at the Market

Those Pretzels are addictive. DO NOT buy the small always buy the large, you will regret it. Buy several cause you will eat more than one bag and you might want to gift some around to family or bring to those holiday parties! Definitely stock up cause these are the best pretzels you will ever eat and they’re local and only available till January. This is a must buy for you, for your friends, for your family but most importantly for your tummy.

Slow Bottled Sunday is going to be your must buy if you have a foodie on your gift list. IF you love to cook and play around with new ingredients you HAVE to get these. Created with rescued local fruits that come straight from the farmers you will love these. Each of their sauces are incredible and all made locally in their Okanagan kitchen.

Amezing Lights and Art of Light are two show stopping vendors that you wont be able to help but check out while at the market. They both have jaw droppingly beautiful booths filled with amazing lights! Art of light takes it one step further by having all their lights made from gourds! They are something else and would make amazing gifts for anyone in your life.

MisHMasH is perfect if you are looking for something incredibly special that gives back to those who have made them. Their delightful and popular Karoo Angels share space with hand-crafted sculptural wire reindeer & a vast collection of African animals in all forms from wire sculptures to wall hangings, coat hooks and keychains. All their items are hand-crafted & sourced directly from small artisanal shops and producers in Africa who provide a sustainable income source for individuals living in rural communities and townships. Their ostrich feather ornamental angels are definitely some of my favorite at the market this year.

Vancouver Christmas Market

There is so much more than I have mentioned here to enjoy at the Vancouver Christmas Market this year and I hope all of you get a chance to celebrate in all the holiday fun. Nothing says Christmas quite like a German Christmas market and we are thrilled to have them back again this year.
