This is a noble thing to do, but so many people fail in their endeavour (myself included sometimes), and end up accidentally letting it slip before they even get to March. We have all been guilty of this, we have enough going on – we get wrapped up, and at that point there’s nothing to do except get up and try again. However, next time round it can be helpful to have some tips on staying motivated as a mom, as that motivation is often lacking, or nonexistent, and that is the problem. In this post, we are going to discuss some of the most effective methods for keeping motivated with your exercise regime.
If you find that you are not really making the time for your exercise, maybe that’s because you literally haven’t made the time in your calendar or diary for it. When we half-will something, what usually ends up happening is, well, nothing. We try it out once or twice, and shortly give up. To ensure that you stick to your workouts, you need to set aside a specific time. Now, this can be once a day, or once a week, depending on your own personal goals. But whatever it is, make sure that you have it clearly marked out on the calendar and then stick to it! This is effective, because you ingrain it as an important part of your day or week, and not just something that you might get around to if you have the time.
Take A Course With Friends
If you know that you want to up your game over the coming weeks or months, then it might be worth signing up for fitness courses. When you sign up for a course, it means that you are much more likely to see it through to the end – and therefore reach your own personal fitness goal. When you are shopping around for a course, be sure to look for one that seems well suited to you. There are so many out there, with such variety, that you want to ensure you go for the right one. As long as you do, you should notice a profound difference in your attitude towards exercise on the whole – and that change in attitude is one of the most important changes of all.
We all know what it’s like to go it alone with a project like this. Sometimes it can be difficult staying motivated simply because there is nobody there to share in the experience with you. There is no other mom or friend there to vent to, you need to let off steam and not just via exercise either. Find someone you love to socialize with, it will make this so much better. These things are always harder to do alone, and that’s why buddying up is likely to be a huge help. There is actually scientific evidence to suggest that exercising with a frequent partner improves your motivation and energy levels, but also actually makes the workout more effective. If you know a friend who is in the same boat as you, then exercising together could be a most harmonious solution to your mutual concern. Just make sure it’s someone you don’t mind being sweaty around!
