A lot of people talk about how they are going to change their ways come 2018. Well I will be the first to tell you that I will not be, not in the traditional sense of the New Year. I will not be on the resolution bandwagon, instead I will be doing what all of us do naturally – and that is to be constantly in change. I will be opening 2018 with a sense of resilience, knowing what I have done, where I have been and what I have been through.
This year I will embrace the constant change without fear.
With all that is going on in the world I need to start looking inwards to create the change I want to see in our home life and in the world. I need to stop emphasizing this time of year as the change catalyst and focus more on change in it’s beautifully chaotic form. Change is good and change is inevitable and I don’t want to fear or fight it anymore.
“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” ~ Jimmy Dean
This New Year I want the same for all of you. I want you all to be able to accept change in this flowing form and embrace each one that comes your way. To look at all changes, good or bad, as a point of more growth in yourself. To change without the fear of failure or loss, to know that regardless of any change you will be able to face it dead on and with an open mind.
“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” ~ George Bernard Shaw
I hope that all of you take a fearless leap towards all the changes you are faced with this year. To tackle them head on with love and strength because you can do it all, we are amazing.
“To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly.” ~ Henri Bergson
Get out there and embrace the change this New Year!
