I recently got the chance to help put on a great small little event over at 4Cats Capitol Hill and I have been just dying to share my day with you.  This studio is one of my favorites, Maggie is one of my favorite people, she has such a beautiful spirit and reminds me so much of my sister, and she makes her studio such a safe and magical place for everyone.  Something so important for someone in her field, she is amazing with children, is always on top of everything and is a super talented artist, OF COURSE!!!

Getting the chance to be a host to this event with DaddyBlogger.ca was a true treat to say the least and I can’t tell you enough how amazing it was.  Maggie was awesome enough to sponsor and entire splatter party for our whole group of bloggers and their kids, such an incredible gift to say the least and boy oh boy was it a blast!!  We got super messy, in the most lovely way possible, and my son went completely wild with the paint and literally adored every minute of it.  Needless to say we will for sure have to do this for a birthday party, I was thinking maybe for my youngest since he missed the opportunity to come along with me.

You want to see some of the action?!!  Of course you do, what a silly question.

See how much fun we had?!!!  I can’t tell you enough how awesome it was to make a mess on purpose and create some awesome art to go with it.  Bonus was the awesome treats thanks to COBS Kensington, our drinks thanks to BeCoconut and myself, THEN the awesome door prizes we had!!  A big thanks to our local East Cafe for putting up a door prize for us, along with daddyblogger.ca AND again myself teehee!

If you want to get in on this fun I would highly suggest checking 4Cats out for all the info IN FACT here is some just for your awesome convenience!

“4Cats Arts Studio Inc. was founded in 2005 when founder and CEO Joey Simon began offering art classes out of the basement of a beautiful old character home in Victoria, B.C. Canada. Today there are more than 67 locations and growing across North America and Australia. 4Cats offers artist focused classes, camps, workshops and parties for adults and children ages 2-15. We like to get messy while learning and having fun, making 4Cats the best, most fun art studio ever!

The name 4Cats is inspired by the 4Cats Cafe in Barcelona, Spain. The 4Cats Cafe (Els Quatre Gats) is the place where Picasso went with artist, poet and philosopher friends to discuss art and life and make and show great art! This is what we do, create masterpieces and talk about art!

4Cats Capitol Hill is proud to be part of the vibrant Burnaby Heights neighbourhood!  Owner Maggie Murphy has a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from the University of Toronto with graduate studies in Art Therapy from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute.  Full time instructor Dino Pai is an active comic book artist and illustrator who graduated from the prestigious Parsons New School of Design in New York City. “

See I told you they were fantastic, just splendid for anything you need them for and the best part is they do both kids and adult classes, just check out what they have for this Fall!  If you want to see some more of the action our awesome videographer Noel Blain made a cute video for daddyblogger.ca on our event, you can see that HERE.

One last massive thank you to our amazing sponsor 4Cats Capitol Hill and a big thank you to all our goodie sponsors: BeCoconut, COBS, East Cafe, daddyblogger.ca and ME!  Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

Have you ever done a crazy art party like this??  Do you attend great little blogging events like this in your city?

  1. The splatter party looks like so much fun. My kids would love it. I don’t know if we have any kind of art studio (that has kids programs) in my area.
but I do fondly remember all the Graffiti Pub parties at Frat Houses when I was in university! ha. sometimes – not so much fun when someone sneaks in a permanent marker.
