Snack Recipes

You know those days when you feel like you can’t stop yawning, like you can’t keep those eyes open? Those are usually the days that my kids wish I would create something in the kitchen. The days that I just have no idea how I make it through those seem to be the days where my kids will present me with something crazy. Of course I probably asked for it when I added pinterest to their iPads for this EXACT reason but I have now created recipe pushing monsters.

So, since I don’t see myself having the time to make these amazing recipe ideas pushed on me by my children, I thought I would share a few of my kids personally chosen snack recipe desires.

Soooo straight from my kids to you here are their latest 5 snack recipes they want me to try in the kitchen. Who knows maybe one of these days I will have the time to really dive in and get one of these done – sadly I can never cook them as fast as they send him.

Delicious Apple Dipper Sticks from I Save A to Z

These little beauties really wont take me too long, which is why it is at the top of the list. My biggest battle is remembering to get the supplies while I am at the store. Right now I am only missing two from the last grocery shop so I am honestly getting there. The bonus with this recipe is that it can make a great treat to share with the whole class when class parties come up or even for birthday parties. Thinking of which my kids party is coming up soon so these might be made sooner than I thought.

No Bake Chocolate Chip Blondies from Laura Fuentes

Now when I was sent these yes even I wanted them, but did I have the energy or time that day? NO, NO I DID NOT. Which might have hurt me more than it hurt them. I mean look at these beauties, wouldn’t they be amazing with a great vanilla ice cream?! Or maybe an inclusion in sundae if you really wanted to go crazy. But these look great solo too.

Peach Raspberry Fruit Leather

Fruit Leathers from Recipes n Cooking

Because every mom Ive ever know has time to make homemade fruit leathers in a variety of flavors. You and I both know we don’t, but my kids don’t so that is probably why I got sent this long list of 15 different fruit leather recipes. There isn’t enough time in the day to eye roll at some of my kids requests, if only we had a talented nanny who could sit home clean my house and cook up a storm without leaving a mess behind. If I tried to do these I would probably destroy my kitchen with no hope of it returning to normal for at least a couple days.

Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Sticks

Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Sticks from I Wash You Dry

You can tell right away why my kids were begging me to make these, in fact I have been sent these multiple times. Have I made them yet? No, no I have not. Once again feeling like I don’t quite measure up to their ideal “mommy”, here is hoping they will accept regular Delissio pizzas from the frozen section as a close second. Once again though these could be a great idea for some birthday party food – especially for little ones who don’t like to sit still but would rather run with their food.

Ranch Snack Mix from My Fearless Kitchen

This looks amazing and I don’t know if these last few recipes have been hints as to what he wants me to make for his party coming up but it sure seems like he is trying to tell me something isn’t it? Especially adding my old school fav bugles… the chip I can only eat three of before the salt starts to wear off my tastebuds. They’re sinfully delicious, as is this recipe.

What things do your kids wish you would make that you just can’t seem to find time for?
