As a mother and a plus sized girl shopping online has never been one of those things that I could do easily. With my weight fluctuations and limited budget I am always a sucker for a good deal. Sadly there are so many places to shop online nowadays, quality and sizing are all over the charts.
Since I have been on this planet for 29 years and been an avid online shopper for at least 12 of those years I have managed to learn a thing of two when it comes to shopping online. I have three specific things that I like to think about before browsing womens clothing catalogues online. They can be overwhelming to search through and go over so I hope that my tips can help you determine whether or not you are going to get exactly what you are paying for.
COUNTRY SIZING MATTERS
The number one thing I have learned over the years is that the country you order from makes a huge difference in actual sizing. A size 12 in Asia might be a few inches smaller than you are used to over here in North America so always buy a couple sizes larger than you would here on our side of the pond. Always read the fine print and always have a tape measure handy at your computer to double check things.
Now I have fallen victim to this many times. The lure of shopping has sent me astray and I have had many ideas and thoughts of grandeur only to feel nothing but buyers remorse. Both in the department of style and quality, you can imagine the crazy things this nerdy girl has managed to collect along the way. Some I never dared to try and wear and some that never fit either cause they were way too small or way way way too big which honestly has happened more than a few times.
In order to completely avoid the above issues with the whole buyers remorse thing planning ahead is definitely key. You can’t go browsing around two ciders in with no plan, that is how you end up with cat backpacks believe you me. When you have a plan in place it makes it a lot easier to stray from it making your chances for successful smart shopping a lot more likely.
With those three things in mind your next online shopping binge is going to be a cinch!
